This workshop focuses on the use of narrative culture-shaping practices that support communities to protect relationships in the face of conditions of volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity generated by the culture of individualism and the erosion of our ecological, political, economic and social environments. To emphasize what has been shown to protect us in the face of these conditions, participants will have the experience of hearing and constructing relational stories that bring together the key elements of resilience: 1) challenges that require us to take initiative and innovate; 2) caring others who support our leadership; 3) opportunities to contribute to collective wellbeing. Relational stories offer an innovative way to synchronize several concurrent cycles of experience across multiple levels of system. Participants will also get the opportunity to practice a form of empathic attunement called sharing resonance, which activates embodied connection and enhanced collective attunement to the issues that threaten equity and inclusion.
