Are you curious about how others perceive you?
Do you wonder how you as an individual can have an impact in a group?
Are you interested in getting an affordable “taste of Gestalt”?
As part of our Group Intervention Training Program, graduating facilitators-in-training, with faculty supervision, expand their skills to work with groups of people and teams that are new to them. Here’s where you come in.
We’d like you to be part of this process!
We are looking for individuals to come to the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland to participate in a two-day Gestalt personal & interpersonal development group experience facilitated by facilitators-in-training. Faculty members are present throughout the process and offer feedback to facilitators-in-training.
Your participation has benefits for you too! To enhance your own professional development, personal growth, and interpersonal skills, you will be exposed to Gestalt concepts and interventions through observation and experience. To increase your understanding of Gestalt group process, you will see the developmental phases of groups as they unfold in real-time. In fact, you will hear and have the opportunity to learn from the feedback given by the faculty to the facilitators-in-training.
Will you join us for this rich opportunity to experience and learn about Gestalt methods, group work and how you show up in a group?
Learning Objective
Upon completion of this program participants will be able to:
- Relate the basic concepts of a Gestalt approach to working with groups;
- State developmental phases of a group;
- Name the Levels of System operating in the group;
- Notice the impact of the leaders’ interventions on individuals and on the group’s process;
- Describe the Gestalt concept of resistance/persistence as it shows up in individuals;
- Identify one intervention the leaders used that supported resistance/persistence at the individual and group levels;
- Use your observation of the group’s behavior to distinguish between the levels of system as the work of the group progresses; and
- Recall leaders’ interventions used at each level of system.
