Why I give to GIC

Since joining the board of the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland (GIC) in 2023, my commitment to giving has been rooted in the transformative experience I had during my master’s education at Cleveland State University’s Diversity Management Program. I was introduced to GIC’s powerful approach to group facilitation by Dr. Lalei E. Gutierrez, whose holistic, integrative methods profoundly shaped my understanding of diversity and personal growth. Witnessing her blend of mind, body, energy, and spirit in group process work inspired me to support GIC’s mission of fostering authentic connection and systemic change. My giving is a way to honor the impact of Lalei’s mentorship and to help others access the same healing and growth opportunities. Through my support, I hope to contribute to a community where every individual is empowered to thrive.
