Are you interested in going beyond “talking about” in a coaching session to assist your client in unlocking a deeper awareness and understanding? Are you curious about using creative expression and art in your coaching? Do you want to learn techniques and build skills and confidence to bring more creativity to your coaching?

In this experiential workshop, with plenty of application and practice, we’ll explore different modes of creative expression for use in individual and group coaching. You’ll learn, experience first-hand, and experiment with techniques such as constellations; innovative story-telling and personal narrative through journaling, music/movement/poetry; ceremony; and visual creative art. You'll adapt a set of these creative techniques to make them your own, and try them out in practice coaching rounds. Key learnings will be linked to the Gestalt coaching stance and the International Coach Federation (ICF) core competencies.

Come ready to discover what’s possible when you introduce innovative and creative techniques into your coaching practice. Leave able to use these practical approaches to creativity and art immediately to help your clients increase awareness, unlock their potential, and take positive action.

Learning Objectives
Participants completing this workshop will be able to:

  • Deepen their impact on client understanding and self-discovery;
  • Learn and apply different creative approaches for unlocking client potential using art as the basis;
  • Build competence and confidence in experimenting with different creative expression modes with clients;
  • Compile an inventory of practical creative expression techniques to work with clients; and
  • Hone the ICF core competencies of Co-creating the Relationship, Creating Awareness, and Facilitating Learning and Results.
