In the hustle bustle of work-a-day living it is often difficult to integrate even a brief practice or self-discipline that promotes self-acceptance, stress reduction and maintaining attunement with one’s personal and professional environments.

This session is intended to introduce participants to the nuts and bolts of mindfulness practice and its applicability to support professional development and enhancement of one's leadership capacity. The cultivation of a beginning mindfulness practice can help ignite a greater awareness and appreciation for the self, an important step for creating and maintaining authentic and engaging relationships in all settings of one's life.

Participants will learn or review basic concepts that are foundational to mindfulness practice such as grounding, centering, aligning, etc. This will be coupled with ample opportunity for practicing the concepts, and then determining how the practice of the concepts can best be applied in one’s own life.
