This workshop is an introduction to hearing, seeing, and responding like a Gestalt practitioner. Through a series of exercises, participants will experience becoming fully present in the here and now and experience the difference in the impact they have using Gestalt principles.

This workshop is designed/appropriate for all professionals including: Counselors, social workers, psychologists, physicians, nurses, art and music therapists. Coaches, managers, supervisors and others interested in exploring these topics are welcome. 

Learning Objectives
Upon completion, you will be able to:

  • Describe the difference between presence as an objective expert and the embodied presence of a gestalt practitioner;
  • Identify the difference between working in the present (here and now) and in talking about the past (there and then);
  • Describe the difference in the impact on one another when using a gestalt approach to interaction.
