Dr. Hammond passed away Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011.
Born Aug. 25, 1921, in Cleveland, she was a lifelong Cleveland area resident. She attended Willoughby United Methodist Church and was a member of the Gestalt Institute and Cleveland Psychological Association. She enjoyed traveling, gardening and reading.
Dr. Hammond was a school psychologist with the Willoughby-Eastlake Public Schools and was also the owner of Euclid Guidance Associates. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, David A. Hammond, Ph.D.; children, Robert D. (Patty) Hammond of Orange Village, Margaret Sagri of South Euclid, Bruce A. (Joyce) Hammond of Clarkston, Mich., and Patricia (Ken) Blask of Painesville; grandchildren, Andria Sagri, David E. Hammond, Elizabeth Hammond, Alissa Sagri, Bradley Hammond, James Blask, Kimberly Hammond, Christopher Hammond and Sarah Blask; great-grandchildren, Malik, Myles and Lily; and brother, Leonard (Sally Roseman) Brown of Gates Mills.
Her parents, Alex and Esther (Grossman) Brown, are deceased.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Ave., Willoughby. The Rev. Donald R. Perks of Willoughby United Methodist Church will officiate at the service.

Services for Elaine B. (Brown) Hammond, Ph.D., 89, of South Euclid, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Willoughby United Methodist Church, 15 Public Square, Willoughby.
