Gestalt Relational Constellations offers an exploration of personal issues through direct embodied experience and right-brain holistic imagery. It is a powerful approach shining a light on background dynamics, highlighting attachment, belonging, and identifications that are often out of awareness, yet influence our forming of goals and life choices.
Gestalt Relational Constellations is rooted in the Gestalt values of authentic contact, attuned support, dialogue, creativity, experiment and a meaning-making process that is fully client focused. Systemic Constellations work, pioneered by Bert Hellinger, originated as a more directive, trans-generational, phenomenological, therapeutic intervention with roots in family systems work as well as in the ancestral rituals of the Zulu people. Through a process of Gestalt-based experiment, inquiry and dialogue that is synthesized with Systemic Constellations work we offer a process that can support work in opening "stuck places" in our clients' lives, as well as in our own.
In this workshop, using live demonstrations and cases presented by participants, we will explore the potential for synergy of these two powerful approaches. Our workshop goal will be collaboration between facilitators and participants as we articulate together the terms of this opportunity for reflective synergy, potentially adding power to each approach. Cases may be drawn from both work and family settings, exploring both large and small system dynamics.
