Coaching—be it life, executive, or leadership—is a practice in which trained professionals partner with clients to
help maximize their personal and professional potential. It supports growth and development through self-initiated change and
helps a person better focus on goal setting, outcome creation, and personal change management. The Gestalt Institute of Cleveland offers:
Gestalt theory and practice is a holistic approach to enhancing human development and learning that brings added value to coaching and makes it a truly transformative process. It focuses on the totality of a person and recognizes the unity of mind, body, spirit, and emotions and the critical role of relationships. Gestalt teaches how to fully engage in the present, yielding greater awareness of what is being experienced, thereby gaining increased knowledge of self, others, and the shared environment. Using the unique and powerful gestalt self-discovery process, previously unrecognized strengths are revealed. Both fledgling and experienced coaches are then able to build on and expand their existing competencies in new ways.
More than 15 years ago, the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland became the first organization to offer Gestalt coaching training, and it is the preeminent place for individuals and organizations to develop coaching skills while benefiting from the advantages offered by gestalt theory and practice.

Today, the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland is the only organization able to confer Gestalt Professional Certified Coach™ status. It is the only coaching program in Ohio with the highest accreditation (ACTP) from ICF—a globally recognized, independent accrediting organization. This accreditation allows coaches to get the beginning or intermediate ICF certifications in less time and provides a pathway to ICF's highest level of certification—Master Certified Coach. Thus, participants in the coach certification program can become eligible for both ICF and GPCC™ certifications for the price of one program.
The program and all workshops confer ICF coach specific training hours and professional continuing education credits can be obtained upon request.
